We recommend that you book a consultation with the practice nurse at least 8 weeks before you are due to travel, as some vaccinations need to be given well in advance of departure to allow the body to develop immunity. Others can involve more than one dose.

It is always useful if you are able to bring in an up to date record of your NHS vaccinations when attending the consultation.
